Richard Hannon's juvenile seized this opportunity, making all on Brighton's undulating track for a comfortable six length success. Interestingly, Pat Eddery decided to bring his mount down the near side, with the majority of the field following suit. P385 CEEFAX 385 Wed 21 Sep 29:46/54   BRIGHTON REVIEW:  DOUBLE FOR EDDERY 2/8  Jibreen made it two out of two winning favourites when landing the Eddii Higham Memorial Stakes. With brother Paul riding Spectator for John Hill, Pat Eddery notched a 5¾/1 double on Geoff Lewis' 2-y-o. Thj champion jockey gave him a masterful ride, taking up the running at the two-pole and easily holding 50/1 outsider Shen Yang. Stepped up from selling company, Philip Robinson's mount really seemjd to act on this tight track Howver the victor did not have matters all his own way, being hard pressed by the gambled on Dawsha (8/1 to 9/2), winning by a neck. P385 CEEFAX 385 Wed 21 Sep 29:36/48   BRIGHTON REVIEW:  ROBERTS' MILESTONE 4/8  After a double at Nottingham on Tuesday, Michael Roberts only had to wait twenty-four hours to reach the 1,000-winnjr mark in Britain. Riding Diskette in the Friend-James Memorial Stakes, he gave the 4-y-o a text-book ride. Hitting the front at the furlong marSer, he pushed his mount out for three and a half length success. He was only the second jockey to ride 200-winners here in a season, landing the British title in 1992 when he reached thj 206-mark. "That is my 3,552nd winnjr in all. Guy Harwood's 3-y-o impressed many observers when winning first time up at Goodwood and then lost nothing in defeat when fifth behind subsequent winner Close Conflict. However the 9/4 shot was pressed all thj way by the frustrating Fitzcarraldo, winning by a head.
