The Authority has warned that the slimdown will have to come immediately to help with the introduction of tertiary education in the county. Sixty-nine-year old Mr Eric Clouston of Parc yr Irfon, Builth Wells, and his 71-year-old wife Mary, had to be cut free from the wreckage of their car after it collided with a livestock lorry on the Brecon to Hereford road at Glasbury on Wye. A report to the industry watchdog OFWAT says such a system would not force the poor and elderly to skimp on the water they need. As part of a campaign for improved maternity facilities local magistrate Mrs Margaret Gimblett revealed that a town of Llanelli's size should have two obstetricians to be in line with official guidelines. The brothers were jailed for life five years ago for the murder of a sex shop manageress, 38-year-old Sandra Phillips Last year BBC's Rough Justice programme highlighted the case and the Assistant Chief constable of Devon and Cornwall was appointed to conduct an inquiry. Police say the notes are being circulated mainly in the drug distribution network, and are being sold initially for 40% of their sterling valuj. The town's MP Ted Rowlands appealed for a new station to combat high levels of crime on the council estate which is one of the biggest in Europe, where even the existing police station has been vandalised. The two companies which operate vessels out of the port say the imposition of stringent quotas has left the industry in a critical condition. There are just seven trawlers left in Milford employing 150 people. Solicitors acting for Towyn residents claim BR have refused to disclose maintenance records for the Chester to Holyhead railway.
