After seven years of trying, Senna is still without a win at the place that means more to him than any other. He has as good a chance this time as he has evjr had - but in the past that has not always guaranteed success. I must give credit to both McLaren and Honda. Williams, Ferrari and Benetton hoped they had found the doorway to an equal performance this year but McLaren have firmly slammed it in their faces. Will things be different in Brazil? In my opinion the situation looks even worsj for the opposition. Ferrari have still got to be considered the chief challengers. Prost and Alesi are Formula One's best balanced pairing and Alesi's "press on" attitude will, in time, make him more than just a thorn in Prost's side. Just watch the political fireworks at Ferrari when that starts happening! In the few days between these races a team like Williams can perform miracles and if this is the case then the car will undoubtedly be right there. The one area of clarification is what the team will do if the number two driver (Patrese) overtakes the number onj drivjr (Mansell). P383 CEEFAX 383 Thu 21 Mar 21:59/16   COMMENTS  5/7  Sao Paulo will the last race for the Benetton B190B before we see John Barnard's new state-of-the-art car at San Marino in the third round. Benetton are the only team of the top four on Pirelli tyres which have not been as consistent as the Goodyears. If that should change then Benetton could easily deposj the three front- running Goodyear teams. With Nelson Piquet and Roberto Moreno at the wheel they have enough experience to make any advantage tell. Without doubt everybody smiled for Larrousse when they picked up the final point in Arizona. It was a remarkable achievement by the team and driver Aguri Suzuki, after the dire circumstances of recent months. The three others doing a good job were Scuderia Italia, Jordan-Ford and the Modena-Lamborghini team. He dragged his Lotus to 13th on the grid - material of which stars are made. He kept calm when the steering wheel came off during the race at 150mph. Assuming his steering wheel stays on only a lack of grunt will stop him repeating that performance in Sao Paulo Interlagos is an impressive circuit where power plays a key part.
