Then one day Barbara envisages life without Oliver and files for divorce. Oliver fights back tooth and nail, with the house the object and mainstay of their savagely destructive battles. Naturally, drugs dealer Jack Palance is a tad fed up with the duo and frames them. From then on the plot centres on Tango and Cash's attempts to escape from jail and prove their innocence. Stallone and Russell make an unlikely, but thoroughly likeable double act in this action-packed movie. Forget the implausible story, wallow in the fight scenes laced with humorous one-liners and marvel at the breath-taking stunts. Sutherland plays undercover cop Buster McHenry who meets up with red Indian Hank Storm (Phillips) after a disastrous heist in which Hank's brother is killed and Buster is injured. This is a proficient action picture awash with car chases. But the film also aims for a tone of seriousness in its treatment of the Indians. The pace is slow, with unnecessary sub-plots slowing the action further. (Adrian Turner) more > Reviews Index 620 Bookworld 627 Bookworld Charts Beat Box What's New

Robert Englund - Elm Street's Freddy - is the phantom, living below the opera house and painstakingly piecing together the seared flesh on his patchwork face before visiting the beautiful Christine, the only woman, he thinks, who can sing his lovely music. Effective as horror but the film evokes no sympathy for the tortured composer. (Juliet Elliston) more > Reviews Index 620 New Books 627 Bookworld Charts Beat Box What's New

She left after seeing the ghost of her aunt butchered by a beast. Intrigued by the magic of a travelling show, she and a friend invite the cast to supper at the castle but are drugged and bedded by the twin magicians - one of whom turns into a beast whenever he woos a woman.
