P132 CEEFAX 132 Fri 5 Nov 16:22/11       POLITICS  TORIES URGED TO ALLAY BLOOD FEARS Labour's health spokesman is calling for a Government statement to allay fears about the withdrawal of German blood supplies. See 131 David Blunkett told BBC Radio that if there was any doubt then the records of those who have had blood transfusions should be looked at. Dr Harold Gunson of the National Blood Authority said blood in the UK "is the safest in the world".
