P157 CEEFAX 157 Fri 19 Nov 16:21/31       WORLD  UKRAINE RATIFIES NUCLEAR ACCORD The Ukrainian parliament has ratified the Start I nuclear treaty - subject to firm conditions. Ukraine now becomes the fourth and last ex-Soviet republic with nuclear weapons to ratify Start I. However, it says it will only disarm gradually and is demanding security guarantees and financial compensation from the West.
