P306 CEEFAX 306 Fri 26 Nov 16:23/14   FOOTBALL: AXE FALLS  ON BUTCHER  Sunderland have dismissed manager Terry Butcher after just nine months in charge at Roker Park. His departure along with assistant Ian Atkins was followed by Bob Murray's resignation as chairman, but he will remain on the Board. "Football has been good to me but I've had a lot of disappointments over the last three years," said Butcher, who was sacked as Coventry manager in 1992.
