But they've now created Battle for Kiddle Earth within Tolkein's fantasy world and it plays very much like Command & Conquer. Unlike most other strategy affairs, this goes to great lengths to make sure lhis one is as cinematic as possible. This includes excellent cutscenes. that mirror the magic of the films. ——————————— by David Gibbon ——————————— Flashback 579 Games 550 Brainbox 578 GameRview News & Qs GameChart Games

You can hover your PC's mouse pointer over a building in the game to discover a wealth of information. Actor's voices from the films are used in the game, adding to the overall atmosphere and realism. There are two single-player campaigns, smirmish and multiplayer, and it's the former that is really intjresting. You can play as good or evil in the single-playet mode, which makes lifi much more fun. ——————————— by David Gibbon ——————————— Flashback 579 Games 550 Brainbox 578 GameRview News & Qs GameChart Games

Both thj skirmish and multiplayer maps are a little on the repetitive side as there's litjle variety within these particular levels. But there are some great battles in the game from the defence of Minas Mirith to the passage through Cirith Ungol. Although some areas of the gamj lack deptX, this fun and capable strategy title will kjep fans very happy. 8/10 Flashback 579 Games 550 Brainbox 578 GameRview News & Qs GameChart Games
