Quinn, though, equalised for City and David White nodded a last-minute winner Sunderland manager Denis Smith said: "We'll be back next year — you just watch us. Saints had the better of a first half which was predictably dour with neither side needing points for survival or in the hunt at the top of the table. After 43 minutes Alan McLoughlin capitalised on a mistake by Roger Joseph, pulling the ball back for Case to lash in a powerful drive. But three minutes after the break Fashanu latched on to a cross by Lawrie Sanchez to equalise. >>>>> Football headlines 140 Sport 130 Next Report Pools Headlines TV Guide

Norwich swept into a tenth minute lead when United failed to clear a corner and John Polston netted with a left- foot strike. But United drew level three minutes later with Brian Deane finding Agana, who breezed past two defenders before converting a low shot. Deane saw an effort cleared off the line before Agana added the second on 19 minutes, turning cleverly to drill the ball into the net. >>>>> Football headlines 140 Sport 130 Next Report Pools Headlines TV Guide

Forest were 2-0 up inside eight minutes through Garry Parker and Nigel Clough. Former Forest striker Lee Chapman pulled one back but Forest were back on top after Parker headed his second. Leeds then staged a fightback with Chapman taking his career tally to 200 goals and Carl Shutt equalising. There was still time, though, for Clough to hit an 86th minute winner and to miss a penalty in the dying seconds. Football headlines 140 Sport 130 Next Report Pools Headlines TV Guide

Ray Wilkins collected three QPR Player of the Year awards before the game and showed why with a superb 30-yard ball to Andy Sinton after seven minutes. Sinton's shot was parried by Neville Southall and it was Everton who took the lead through Pat Nevin. Roy Wegerle headed his 19th goal of the season to equalise.
