P208 CEEFAX 2 208 Mon 29 Sep 2p:24/17       LACK OF SUPPLY "DRIVES UP HOUSE PRICES" House prices rose by a seasonally adjusted 1.7% in September, according to the Nationwide. Prices were 12.9% higher than in September 1996. The building society said the risj in prices was more to do with a lack of supply in a thin market rather than a booming market.
