P147 CEEFAX 147 Thu 13 Jan 21:11/57       COMMONS  SENTENCE REVIEW POWERS WIDENED The Court of Appeal is to be given new powers to increase sentences on those guilty of offences including indecency and cruelty to children. Until now the power to review sentences had existed only for the most serious offences which are tried in the Crown Courts.
