P732 CEEFAX 732 Thu 13 Jan 21:12/39   1/2      CRUDE OIL SPILLAGE HITS UKRAINE An oil slick of about 2,000 litres had spread from its origin in the Latorica river in the Ukraine to Hungary. The slick scattered in patches over 31 miles had moved into Slovakia's Bodrog river, Slovak officials said The cause of the spill, which happened last week, is still unknown but it was first thought to have been a damaged pipeline. Officials have said that they would supply 40,000 people with water from tanks if the water did become contaminated.
