Mr Paisley, who was responding to a speech from Irish foreign secretary Dick Spring, said the Union was not up for negotiation. The Ulster Unionists would study Mr Spring's speech to judge to what extent it displayed flexibility on Dublin's constitutional claim to Northern Ireland, he said.
