So far, a total of 11 Palestinians have been killed and about 30 wounded. Several Palestinian houses were demolished and about 300 Palestinian families have fled the area. Israeli aircraft fired missiles at buildings in Gaza City, destroying two empty workshops that the army said had been used as weapons factories.
