When it was first seen last year the game seemed to involve a fairly stock combat system, where turning the black and white world to colour was the aim of the game. After weakening enemies in combat with normal attacks you then draw magical symbols with the analogue stick to finish them off. There are some almost platform style sections to deal with and lots of villagers to talk to and help out with sub-quests. Even so there are legitimate concerns about how well suited the PS2 analogue stick is to drawing complex shapes.
