P387 CEEFAX 387 Thu 13 Jan 21:03/24 1/4 LINGFIELD REVIEW: JAMIE MAGIC ON ZABEEDY Ben Zabeedy got up in the last strides to take the Guy Mannering Claiming Hurdle from Masroug under a typically cool Jamie Osborne ride Masroug had been up with the leaders for most of the contest and looked to have the race in the bag having fought off the challenge of outsider Barton Royal. However, Jamie Osborne produced a great run from the favourite to get up on the line as Masroug tired, Reg Akehurst's charge winning by a head with Barton Royal in third. P387 CEEFAX 387 Thu 13 Jan 21:02/32 2/4 LINGFIELD REVIEW: NO WORRIES FOR NOBLELY Jamie Osborne doubled up on Blasket Hero in the Waverly Handicap Hurdle Jarrwah had shaken the rest of the field off by the third last but Osborne had the leader covered, taking it up two out and running on strongly to beat Jarrwah by 5L. Nick Walker's Noblely took the opener here today with a pillar-to- post display under Roger Marley. The only worry for his backers was a mistake at the penultimate flight but otherwise it was plain sailing with the seven-year-old coming home six lengths ahead of runner-up Grog CourseDet Weth Rev Winc Rev Eve Dog
P387 CEEFAX 387 Thu 13 Jan 21:43/01 3/4 LINGFIELD REVIEW: OSBORNE TREBLES UP Osborne completed his 49/1 treble on Saahi, the very easy winner of the Weatherby's "Newcomers" Series Handicap Hurdle. Always going well, the odds-on favourite sprinted clear in the straight to beat West Bay by 10L. The Mares' Novices' Handicap Hurdle did not look a great race before racing but it did provide a fine finish between Proverbs Girl and evens favourite Hullo Mary Doll After a prolonged struggle up the straight Toby Balding's charge got the upper hand to win by 3L. P387 CEEFAX 387 Thu 13 Jan 21:11/11 4/4 LINGFIELD REVIEW: MAURICE BACK AGAINST THE ODDS Mighty Maurice, trained by Ceefax's trainer to follow George Foster, completed a remarkable comeback to come second in the finale here. For the horse was struck by a car before Christmas and it was feared that he would never see the track. The son of Carlingford Castle looked outpaced on the final bend but ran on gamely to finish seven lengths behind Colossus Of Roads. Foster's two other runners of the day, Sinclair Boy and Kutan, both ran unplaced. Source:William HILL Organization Ltd CourseDet Weth Rev Winc Rev Eve Dog
