System Recovery Images
These are a selection of system recovery images that I have encountered, and preserved, for use to restore a system back to its factory state.
These images vary in their methods of execution. Some are traditional CD-ROM images, that simply need to be burnt and inserted into the disc drive of the system in question. Others are a little bit more complicated and maybe require additional steps. Wherever possible I will give some further detail.
A Word of Caution not everything here is always complete, and a lot of the time I will get the recovery image and not the system to test it. Wherever possible I will test the image, but if you get it working or it fails then let me know on the Internet Archive entry page.
AST Recovery Media 1999

This is a CD-ROM recovery image. The CD-ROM came to me without the system and the CD-ROM itself does not reveal to which AST systems it applies too. From a deep-dive of the discs contents there are a lot of references to an Intel 810 + 820 chipset, however this was a relatively common chipset for the era.
This recovery appears to only contain the base Microsoft operating system and relevant system drivers, no fun goodies here. See the page linked below for a deep-dive into this CD-ROM's contents.
