P152 CEEFAX 1 152 Thu 02 Dec 19:14/17       SUSPECT PACKAGE DESTROYED BY BOMB SQUAD The bomb squad has carried out a controlled explosion at East Midlands Airport after the discovery of a suspect package in the cargo area. Part of the airport was closed but passenger flights were not affected. Police later said the package was found to be harmless. Edinburgh Airport was also disrupted after the plane which dropped off the suspect package flew on there. A security alert is still in force. Customers using the Economy Seven system will see their bills fall by an average of £7. The cuts announced by Ofgem follow 18 months of consultation between the regulator and electricity companies. A motion tabled by Tory former Scottish Secretary Lord Forsyth of Drumlean was rejected by 65 votes to 14. He had hoped to make a formal request to the Queen to allow Parliament to debate his proposed Succession to the Crown (Amendment) Bill.
