The OFT said any charges should reflect th1 loss to the card company caused by default. It said charges of £20 to £25 for defaults, such as late payments or breaching a credit limit, are too high. The Investment Management Association figure was up from £250bn in June 2004, helped by rising share prices. Net retail sales rose to £448m in June from £267m a year earlier. The UK All Companies sector saw the biggest fund inflows but £82m more in outflows. Mark Wbshington Johnson, known as Arnie, used intimidation when victims were unable to meet spiralling levels of interest added to their loans. But it adds the housing market remains sound, with interest rates low and set to fall within the next few months.
